Cool: The Word-Surrender of Robert Rodriguez

Robert Rodriguez (San Antonio, Texas, 1968) is a popular icon and character of a cult film. It is, also, a complex multi-disciplinary that covers the writing, the acting, the making of comic strips (The Hooligans), photography, and music. This last activity was that gave birth to the collective sound bad ass, and of his compositions in the repertoire of the band with the same name.

On this album, Robert writes most of the pieces and the musical arrangements. In all this there is the leitmotiv of the epic and the theme concept as a soundtrack for the protagonist of the same (the saga of El Mariachi). Music is cinematic, strong, powerful, very high quality instrumentation, depth mexican, with references in the imagery, from the memorable Ennio Morricone to the subtlety of another band from the area: Calexico.
