Thomas Jefferson Kaye (born 1940 as Thomas Jefferson Kontos in North Dakota, died 1994) was an American record producer, singer-songwriter and musician. Described as a “lengendary hipster”,[citation needed] Kaye produced recordings as diverse as the garage classic 96 Tears by ? and the Mysterians,Dead Skunk by Loudon Wainwright III, the Triumvirate album by Mike Bloomfield and numerous albums by former Byrd Gene Clark.
